Born in Little Rock, Thomas “Tommy” Lasiter started his commercial real estate career as a Real Estate Manager with the Kroger Company (NYSE: KR). After spending several years with Kroger, he joined and partnered with Doyle Rogers Company for forty years, serving as a principal, as well as its Chief Executive Officer and President. At Doyle Rogers, he was responsible for the overall management of the company's Little Rock headquarters’ offices, and the vast majority of the organization's developments, investments, and operations and was involved in the development and management of commercial real estate projects with a total size in excess of ±3,000,000 square feet. He was largely involved with the company's 1980’s era flagship developments-the Excelsior Hotel (now the Little Rock Marriott), the Arkansas State House Convention Center, and with the sales and leasing efforts of the what is now the Stephens Building projects. Mr. Lasiter has overseen the development, site selection, and acquisitions of real estate throughout his career for his partnerships, and his own group’s portfolio of assets, as well as, on a niche level, third-party clients. Mr. Lasiter is involved in numerous commercial real estate investments, with a portfolio extending throughout the Midwest & Southeastern United States. He was also a shareholder and a member of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan National Bank for over thirty (30) years, until its acquisition by Simmons National Bank. During his tenure as a Director of Metropolitan and CEO of Doyle Rogers, he was one of the primary transactional brokers involved with the transition and transaction of the former financial institution’s move into its once namesake headquarters, Metropolitan Tower, and during the institution’s occupancy he was an investor in the asset and the special asset manager for the skyscraper, the tallest building in the state of Arkansas.
His professional involvements include serving as a Commissioner and Past Chairman of the Planning Commission of the city of North Little Rock, and as a Director for the city of Little Rock Parking Authority. He is a charter member and former President of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Pulaski County, a past Director and Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, and has participated in various projects with the Boy Scouts of America. He has served on the Board of the Arkansas Sheriff's Youth Ranch Foundation and the Board of Directors of the University of Central Arkansas Foundation. Mr. Lasiter currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership and the Arkansas Fly-Fishing Association.
Mr. Lasiter provides leadership and expertise to the associates of The Lasiter Group, as well as its partners and clients. He is heavily involved with most development and acquisition operations of the firm, and is extensively involved with the financial and investment decisions for its major projects. He serves as the Principal Broker for the company's real estate entity, Lasiter Real Estate, and continues to actively invest in commercial real estate assets nationally.
Mr. Lasiter is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, and has attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Business on a post-graduate level. He has served in the Arkansas Air National Guard, and was activated and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era, stationed overseas in Japan. He is married to Mrs. Pamela Davis Lasiter, and they have two children, Mrs. Allison Lasiter Hester & Mr. Ryan Lasiter.
